Albion's Pride Guild Rules
General Behaviour
Everyone in the guild will respect each other, other friendly guilds, and anyone in our own realm (we are all allies vs. enemy realms). You are all diplomats of Albion's Pride, please represent our guild with the values and pride in which the foundations were built with this name.
Do not engage in arguments with other Albions who display their ignorance, keep a level head. Also, do not engage in degrading, as this leads to misrepresentation that our guild is immature. Any infractions to this rule may lead to demotion or dismissal from the order.
Begging
Begging for money, armor, or weapons outside of the order is forbidden. Such insolence gives a bad name to our guild. Begging will not be tolerated. First infraction may lead to demotion in the order, with repeated infractions leading to dismissal.
Power leveling
Pressuring a guild mate to come power level you will not be tolerated.
Albion's Pride looks forward to some power leveling activities and often bring out alt characters so that they can group with our younger, newer members who are within level. In order to play your character effectively, you must take time to understand the benefits of your skills.
In order to do so, we must group more often with peers of alike levels throughout the game, thus preparing ourselves for the frontier. Power leveling produces high level characters who do not know how to use their skills effectively on raids and in the frontier.
Guild House
The Guild house is open for everyone to use. You are expected to have integrity.
Member's Houses
All members are asked to fly the guild banner at their personal houses. If you can not afford the guild banners, please contact an officer and the costs will be covered. There are no other requirements.
Guild Funds
Guild funds will be used for house upgrades, supporting our crafters, realm defense, and any other guild orientated items. As a member of the guild you are asked to take on the bonus of donating a percentage of your earnings.
Help guild mates
As you outgrow items, pass them down to members of the guild, or offer them to a crafter so they may salvage them to offset their costs.
Increase your trade skills so that you can craft items for others. Answer questions about quests if you have done them. As a team, we can help everyone have a fun experience with the game.
Crafting
Albion's Pride strongly encourages the growth and progression of our crafters. We will help you with your burden, however we only ask that you be fair and reasonable with guild mates.
All members must understand that if one of our crafters creates or salvages items for you for free or at cost, they have done you a favor.
They are not required to do anything for free. It takes a great amount of effort and money to gain any skill of reckoning and you should appreciate their efforts.
Crafters will not be harassed into creating items for you, violators will accept public lashings.
Recruitment Policy
Potential recruits can ask for a membership online by filling in the contact form on our website or register and introduce themself at the boards.
Guild Issues
If you have questions or concerns, comments or compliments, use your chain of command. If your immediate superior cannot help you, then they will go up the chain and find out the answer or help you with the situation or concern. As well you can post in the forum and everyone will get a chance to read and make input. Just because you are new or an initiate, doesn’t mean your ideas and creativity is not noticed or respected.
But also keep in mind, we will not accept every new idea that comes along, for the simple fact that many have been around for years, we have a good system in place and that’s only from the experience, dedication, and hard work, including the ideas of all in our past.
Once a rule is made, you may not always like it, or agree with it, but it is in everyone’s best interest that you respect it.
Guild Disputes
If there is a dispute, take it up with the chain of command. We will not tolerate a bunch of savages amongst our ranks, we are all here to have fun first and foremost, gain some loot along the way, and be optimal with our time.
If your having an issue with someone higher in your chain of command, it is respected if you can handle it yourself, just the same as someone lower in your command.
But a quick resolution is not always possible, so if discussions are held, and a resolution is not achieved, you have the authority to take up higher in the chain of command.
That’s how you gain leadership skills and respect amongst your peers: by knowing and learning how to handle situations yourself, and creating a good resolution amongst those involved.
Guild Chat use of Language
Keep in mind that there might be a child or teenager playing with you. Adjust your language.
Camps
You must show common courtesy to others who are camping a similar area. If a workable solution to sharing a camped site and alternating pulls cannot be accomplished, then rule of thumb and common courtesy says, that whomever camped the area first has dibs on the spot.
No Harassing
Respect other players the way you want to be respected. Do not engage in name calling, arguing or any other activities that would purposefully be disrespectful to people.
Our guild name carrys an idea of honour. Keep that in mind.
Need before greed
When grouping in an area that receives drops, always give items to those in your group first that have a need for them. Be honest about the drops and not withhold them for your alt character, guild mates who are not in your group, or for friends.
Kill stealing
Kill stealing is attacking a target that was pulled by another person or group. If a mistake happens on a pull, and you confuse another group’s pull for your own, you are expected to apologize to that person or group and find an attainable solution to sharing a camped site and alternating pulls, if it is possible.
Kill-stealing will not be tolerated.
Uniform
All members are encouraged to wear the emblem. The Guild colors are officially Black and Royal Red. Cloaks and shields carry the guild emblem if possible.
Armor is dyed black, weapons may be dyed red.
